American Cowboy Magazine Top 20 Places to live in the West

Bartlesville is included in the top 20 places to live in the West!

Well I am a native of Bartlesville and I am so proud that Cowboy Magazine recognized Bartlesville, Oklahoma as the wonderful place it is for the rich heritage and cowboy (and Indian) culture that we have here. This was called Indian Territory before statehood and we have always been in the forefront of all thing Cowboy. We have raised some of the best horses and cattle in the entire United States! The grass land is some of the best grazing in the entire world and that is a scientific fact! He Ha!!!

This is the place where you can pull your truck and horse trailer to the local eating establishment and see them in their cowboy hats, boots and wearing their spurs and nobody thinks a thing of it, and sit right along with the people dressed in their suits and driving their Porches and Mercedes. We are very diverse because of the Oil Industry here in Bartlesville. I have always been proud to say that I am a native of Bartlesville and that my family came here before statehood and resided in Indian Territory.

Osage County and the Pawhuska Oklahoma area is right up there with Bartlesville in the same catagory. Ted Turner bought a huge Osage county ranch and he knows the West and what is a good investment!

  1. That is SO cool! I saw that magazine at the store and browsed through it. I would love to see Oklahoma sometime. And Texas. There is just something alluring about Texas and Oklahoma (and it has nothing to do with college football, LOL! :)
