Bartlesville, Indian Summer Festival

Bartlesville is host an inter tribal Indian Art show and Pow Wow in each year in September.  I always like to go and it is a good opportunity to see friends who I don't bump into on an everyday basis.  It is very colorful and this year the weather was really hot, but no rain so that was good.

The Princesses were all so very beautiful in their native dress

Oh my gosh, how sweet!

Gillie before she left Oklahoma
and below her meeting with The Gillespie's!
She loved them from the start just like we did! They are the nicest couple you would ever want to meet, and their children are adorable!
Cowboy has been taking Gillie to work with him every day so I would say she is a happy camper!

After we met TrainWreck and her Cowboy, Train Wreck gave me a box.
In it was an amazing assortment of gifts.
She is so sweet and thoughtful and she is such an amazing person and she is such a talented and giving woman.
She made this adorable personal frame just for me with pictures I had posted on my blog.
It is the cutiest thing I have ever saw! It is on a scrapbooking theme and I love it!
I don't know how she finds the time to accomplish all she does!
Then there was that adorable bucket with kisses in it, a reed infuser with the most wonderful vanilla scent, Chocolates in the heart box, the little book of inspiration, the cowgirl paperweight made by TrainWreck, and the oh so adorable pendant TrainWreck made also.
This barb wire candle holder...........so cute

and a selection of her prints. They are wonderful and I am going to mat and frame them!
They will remind me of her always!
I am never going to forget her kindness.
I wish she lived next door to me, we would have so much in common and have a great time!
Maybe one day they will want better grass and come be our neighbors!
Okay it could happen! :)
and Gillie is my granddog so it would be closer!

I am going to let this gal do my dogs one of these days soon!

This is an adorable Siamese Kitten...reminds me of my Sammye Kat!

You can find her blog "Artdogblog" under my blog friend list, check it out you will love her work, or go to her web site to order http://www.artpaws.com/

Isn't this little schnauzer adorable? You just gotta go check out her site....

PS. We did not have the same political ideas and goals but I still like her! He art is computer graphics done with a Wacom pad...so cool! Yes she is an artist not everyone coming down the pike can do it like she can and she loves animals so much so I will forgive her for being a democrat :)

Albuquerque, New Mexico

My girlfriend Carolyn Mock, and her other half Bill, at the Rio Grande Valley Arts Festival held in Albuquerque, New Mexico in conjuction with the Balloon Festival this past weekend. Carolyn was there selling her paintings and prints. You can check out some of her things here on my blog. Carolyn specializes in wildlife, but works in some really nice horse pieces also. You can also find her work in Crow's Nest catalogs. I have the horse piece hanging above my bed that is just above them. I have many of her works and I love them all.
